Brian's Brownies

When Leslie, Maren, Jen and I lived in the townhouses just south of campus (down Maeser Hill) we had a guy named Brian in our ward. He loved his Subaru and....brownies! He would make these in our apartment for us, from memory. We always made sure to have the ingredients on hand, in case he would stop by. They continue to be an old standard.

Blend the following ingredients together well:
2 c. sugar
2 sticks butter
4 eggs
6 Tbsp. cocoa
vanilla
pinch of salt

Add slowly:
1 1/2 c. flour
nuts, if desired

Bake at 350 deg. 25-35 minutes.
