Saltene Fudge


One of our favorite holiday treats!


Unsalted Saltene crackers

2 sticks butter

1 bag chocolate chips

1 cup sugar




  • Lay crackers in a single layer ont he cookies sheet; breaking, if needed, to fit.


  • Melt butter and sugar in a small pan on the stovetop and boil 1 minute, stirring constantly.


  • Heat oven to broil. Pour butter mixture over saltines and spread with a fork until saturated.


  • Broil till golden brown (watch it!). Turn off oven (about 3 minutes).


  • Sprinkle chocolate chips on and return to oven to soften chocolate. Spread chocolate out with a fork when melted.


  • Sprinkle with nuts and refrigerate until solid.


  • Break apart with a fork.
