Dump Cake

Way better than it sounds, this recipe has been a favorite around the holidays for a quick potluck dessert. It's great for using up things in the pantry, too. Especially good with some vanilla ice cream: very rich! You can also substitute the cherry for other kinds of pie filling or canned fruit in syrup, but this is our favorite.

And here's a fun fall version:

Autumn Dump Cake

1 Box spice cake mix
2 cn Sliced apples, undrained (not pie filling)
1 Stick margarine or butter, melted
1/2 c Chopped pecans

In a 9x13 inch cake pan, dump in apples and spread evenly. Sprinkle with dry spice cake mix. Pour melted margarine all over dry mix. Top with chopped pecans. Bake at 375 for about 40 minutes or untill bubbly. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
