Chocolate Fondue Recipe

This recipe comes from Family fun and is one of our easy favorites. We love it for gathering with neighbors around Christmas or New Year's Eve.

Ingredients
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips or high-quality chocolate bar broken in bits
1 tbsp. heavy cream or sour cream
Whipped cream
Strawberries, orange or tangerine sections, grapes, cantaloupe, and apple slices, pound cake or whatever you want to dunk.

Instructions
In the microwave, melt the chocolate on High, uncovered, for about 30 seconds. Stir it every 10 seconds to determine whether it has melted: it will retain its shape unless it is stirred. Once the chocolate is melted, mix in the heavy cream or sour cream. Refrigerate until chilled, and serve with a bowl of whipped cream and a dish of fruit slices. Makes 2 servings. (I doubled the recipe and there was plenty for the 7 of us - we also had cheese fondue and salad.)
