I got this from a Relief Society Homemaking meeting when I was attending BYU as a single adult. Now, Natalee loves helping me make it and Kurt loves to take it to work during the holidays. It's super easy.

3 c. white chocolate (I use white chocolate chips, but you can use white bark, too)
1 c. peppermint candies
red food coloring
Unwrap peppermint candies and place in a double ziplock bag. Break up with a hammer (the kids love this part!)
Melt chocolate in a double boiler or microwave (start at 1 minute on high, then in 30 second increments until melted. Don't forget to stir in between heatings because chocolate can hold it's shape and be deceiving.)
Stir the candy and coloring(if you like) in the chocolate. Spread thin on cookie sheet like with foil. Let cool and harden (you can put it in the fridge or freezer if you're short on time.) Break up into pieces and give as gifts.
Note: Some people like a layer of semi-sweet or dark chocolate on the bottom. To do this, just melt it the same as above, spread it and let cool. Then add the white chocolate with candy layer.
