These came from Becky Cook, our neighbor in the other half of the basement in Provo. I think I remember a pan of these being passed around our cars at the drive-in.
1 c. butter
3/4 c. cocoa
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
1 1/2 c. walnuts
1 c. chocolate chips
In a saucepan, melt butter and cocoa. Remove from heat and add sugar and eggs, one at a time. Beat well. Add vanilla, flour and 1/2 c. walnuts, stirring after each. Spread in a 13x9x2" greased pan. Sprinkle rest of nuts and chocolate chips on batter. Cook at 350 deg. for 35 minutes (until fork comes out clean). Cool and cut.
