Fast and Easy Whole Wheat Bread

This is a great recipe to use the ground wheat flour that you have in food storage. No rising necessary! It makes a nice, dense bread.

2 tsp. honey
2/3 cup lukewarm water
1 Tbsp. yeast

3 Tbsp. honey
2 cups warm water

3 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 cups more whole wheat flour

Directions
  1. Stir 2 tsp. honey into lukewarm water. Sprinkle 1 Tbsp. yeast over the mixture. Set aside for 10 minutes.
  2. Combine 3 Tbsp. honey with 2 c. warm water and combine with yeast mixture.
  3. With beaters mix in 3 cups whole wheat flour until smooth and frothy. Add 1/2 tsp. salt. With spoon, mix in 2 cups more whole wheat flour. Dough will be sticky.
  4. Grease 1 loaf pan and pour-pat dough into pan. Smooth top with wet bottom side of spoon. Allow to raise to top of pan.
  5. Bake at 400 deg. for 30 minutes. Cool 10 minutes then turn out of pan. Cool before slicing.
