Chocolate Ice Cream

One of our favorite summer activities is inviting the neighbors over for homemade ice cream.  We usually do vanilla and throw in some pureed fresh fruit.  Still love that, but when presented with chocolate-who can say "no"?!  This reminds us of the Wendy's Frosty treat.  So easy and yummy!  Just a hint:  we've discovered that if you make the ice cream the night before and freeze it in your freezer, it is much less soupy and easier to serve in cones (no dishes and self-monitored portion control).

1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 8 oz. tub Cool Whip
1/2 gallon chocolate milk

First, mix the sweetened condensed milk with the cool whip and about half of the chocolate milk (or whatever will fit into your bowl). My kitchen aide mixer fits the entire half gallon.
Next, pour the mixture into your ice cream freezer, and fill the remaining chocolate milk to the fill line. (Ours fits 1/2 gallon just perfectly).
